Personal umbrella

High limit, low premium, and one clause that decides whether it works.

Excess UM/UIM is the clause

Many umbrellas exclude excess uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage unless you buy it. Without it, the umbrella does not follow you over an at-fault driver who has no money. We check it on every quote.

Underlying limits are a condition, not a suggestion

An umbrella sits on required underlying limits. If your auto limits drop below them, the umbrella can decline. We verify underlying at bind and at every renewal.
